I loved my first day of school so much that I got a detention. "Wow! This is Great! More fun!"
My mom was pissed, though, but not at me. The school never called her to tell her I'd be late, and Mom thought I was floating face down in the creek. (I walked to school then. Uphill. Both ways.)
