While I don't 100% agree with his assessment of the 99%, I agree that the military is always an option if you're young, uneducated, and unemployed. I signed on 9/12/01 when I was living in my Mom's basement, delivering pizza, and dating a girl who was opposed to the military. I realized I might get sent somewhere that I may be killed, but it would be a purposeful death, a lot more purposeful than my life was at that point. I also believe that some people simply should NOT serve in the military. Like Elvis Presley, who lost his touch after joining the Army. The world would have been much better off had he not joined. American art and music is what I wanted to defend, and we need those talented enough to create art and music to just go on creating it and not join the armed forces. Support it sure, but not join.
