In a way, I think SOPA/PIPA would be great laws. Every recording label and every movie company is dealing with lawsuits from someone who says they had the idea first. In this law, they would have their website taken offline and showing/playing would be a criminal offense. Until the suit(s) are settled they would be stuck. If they manage to win; well, court costs aren't that bad and with Hollywood accounting, the damages are negligible. Heck even Star Wars has yet to make a buck.
